RHUBARB BARS
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. Cornstarch
1/4 c. water
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. Soda
1 c. soft butter or margarine
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
To make RHUBARB BARS, Mix sugar, cornstarch, and water, and cook until thick. Add vanilla. Mix
flour, sugar, soda, butter, and nuts until crumbly: Pat about 2/3 of
the crumb mixture in 9″x13″ pan. Pour over the rhubarb mixture. Top
with remaining crumbs. Bake 30 to 35 minutes at 375 degrees.
