About Chef Murph

Chef Murph was born in Camden, New Jersey. He is a Serial Entrepreneur/CEO of several food-related companies, the author of over 90 plus books, published thousands of articles, and produced many videos on cooking, and nutrition, in his one-man crusade against world hunger.

His many enterprises and positions include Foodist Networks Inc., American Cooking Networks, Chef Murph Foods, Inc., Murphy Boys Coffee Co. Inc. Executive Chef of Humans for People Foundation 501c3, Farmer, Murphy Boy Farms Inc., and film producer and editor for Cooking in Cold Grease Productions.

In addition to his entrepreneurial pursuits, Chef Murph is an Ordained Minister with a Doctorate in Divinity, a Long-Haul Trucker for NFI Logistics, U.S. Army Veteran, and most importantly, a Dad

Chef Murph leads his charge for feeding hungry people with the motto, “Good food makes for better decisions.” The Chef developed his passion because “…we all bleed red.” He began as an Aquaponics Farmer, studied and trained at the University of Hawaii, Aquaculture Department, Cornell University Aquaponics, University of Virgin Islands, Aquaponics, Logistics: MIT Massachusetts Institute of Technology, KAIST Korean Advanced Institute Science and Technology, Film at Harvard University after which he became a celebrity chef feeding the homeless.

His ultimate goal is to empower others to take charge of their nutritional health, so no one goes hungry or is malnourished.

Chef Murph lists his greatest accomplishments as founding The Foodist Networks, including radio and television broadcasting, filming, and magazine publishing.  When asked how he manages so many activities, his simple answer is that he learns to break problems down into smaller components, study solutions, practice, then “go for it.”

With so much happening in his life, when does Chef Murph relax and unwind? He says learning and education are his hobbies.  His academic and certification achievements are too numerous to mention completing over 120-degree programs. He has never called out of work or missed a day of work in 40 years.

His memberships include Member Board of Trustees/Directors: Humans For People Foundation, Camden Food Pantry, Americans Working with Autism, and Gray Matter Brain Cancer Society.
