Festive 4th of July Drink

Ingredients
Cranberry juice
Gatorade (whatever flavor you can find that is blue)
Diet Sprite or 7-Up
Ice cubes

Directions:

While any red, blue and clear drinks will work for this recipe, the sugar content determines which order you add the drinks. The drink with the most sugar content is the heaviest and therefore should go in first. The drink with the least amount of sugar should go last. Check the labels to determine which has the most sugar content.

In addition, when filling the glass, try to pour the drinks onto an ice cube instead of directly into the other liquids as this will help keep the colors separated.

For this particular combination, you would add the ingredients in this order:

Cranberry Juice
Gatorade
Sprite

Fill the glass with ice cubes. Next, add enough cranberry juice to fill the glass about 1/3 of the way full. Do the next 1/3 with gatorade and then top it off with the sprite.

Garnish with a sprig of mint if desired
