MAKES 8 SERVINGS.

2 tbs each basil and oregano

2 tsp garlic powder

4 pounds bone-in ribs

3 carrots, sliced

2 onions, chopped

4 cloves garlic, crushed

1 cup tomato juice

Mix herbs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper, and rub over ribs. Place carrots, onions, garlic, and juice in a slow cooker. Add ribs. Cover, and cook on low for 8 hours. Transfer ribs and vegetables to a platter, and cover. Transfer cooking liquid to pot, skim fat. Bring sauce to a boil, simmer 10 min. start of making a sauce. I prefer to use arrowroot as my thicking agent, doesn’t change the color or have that flour powdery texture
