Global Recipe of the Day; Polish Stewed Tongue:

Cook a fresh beef tongue until tender; Internal Temp of 160F
Using a Crock Pot or Pot on the Stove Place the Tongue in a pot of water covering the tongue with water. 1 tablespoon of : Salt, Pepper, Baking Soda, and Ground Clove. I like to add a cup of Apple Cider vinegar. Bring to a boil and simmer until Internal Temp is 160F. I don’t add Veggies to the pot my internal temp is about 120F.
Then skin and slice thin or Ruff cut/Stew Cut. Then put large spoonfuls of butter in a saucepan; add a chopped onion; let brown. Then stir in 1 tablespoonful of flour; add 2 cups of the water in which the tongue was cooked, a pinch of nutmeg and cinnamon. Let boil with the juice of 1 lemon, 2 tablespoonfuls of vinegar, and 1 tablespoonful of sugar. Add the sliced tongue and simmer ten minutes. Note I have even added leftover wine.
